Forest Wool/Pine needle fiber

With the pine needle for material Revolution

Pine trees are the world’s main source of timber. Every year 600 million pine trees are cut down in the EU only. But there is more to the tree than just wood: pine needles account for 20-30% of its mass. Forest Wool turns currently unused needles into a fiber, producing useful by-products essential oil and natural dye. Easy to grow, off-seasonal, ecological material, locally harvested and manufactured. Fiber is turned into bio-composites and fabric creating unique material for the application within fashion, architecture, product and automotive sector.
