At PENNY, organic fruit and vegetables are put on the shelves even if they are not always flawless on the outside. Since April 2016 PENNY has been marketing organic fruit and vegetables which look somewhat unusual, i.e. have skin defects or are too small – greenish lemons or crooked carrots – throughout Germany under its store brand “Naturgut Bio-Helden”. Because these peculiarities are not mistakes, but the distinguishing features of real organic heroes: naturally grown and thus 100% organic.
