Shioka Okamoto
Shioka Okamoto is a textile designer. She completed an MA in Textile design at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2016, received her Graduate Diploma for Interior design at Chelsea College of Arts in 2014 and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Tama Art University in Tokyo. Her main research topic is textile design in spatial context with sustainability in mind , and working on printing and dyeing textiles. She worked as assistant professor (full-time) at Okayama Prefectural University from 2017 to 2022 and lecturer (part-time) at Tama Art University from 2022 to teach textile design.
