Das Projekt From Stone to Glass ist eine neue,
innovative Technik zur Färbung von Glas. Das
Ziel ist es, eine Alternative zur „klassischen
Art“ der Färbung vorzuschlagen. Derzeit sind
die Methoden zur Glasfärbung sehr giftig und
nicht nachhaltig. Ziel ist es, eine Technik zu
entwickeln, mit der man ein ähnliches Ergeb-
nis wie mit der klassischen Methode erzielen
kann, aber mit nachhaltigen Materialien. Das
Glas wird aus Stein in Israel gewonnen. Von
Norden nach Süden, von Osten nach Westen
verändern sich die Farben der Steine, werden
nuancierter und erzeugen Texturen, die dem
Glas ein anderes Aussehen verleihen.

From Stone to Glass project is a new innovative technique to colouring the glass. The
objective is to propose an alternative to the “classical way” of coloration. Actually, the
methods to color the glass are really toxic and not sustainable. The purpose is to create
a technique to get a similar result as the classical way but using sustainable materials.
This glass is sourced from stone located in Israel. From north to south, from east to
west, the colors of the stones change, become more nuanced, and produce textures that
give the glass a different appearance.
