Christopher Bellamy
Chris Bellamy is a biodesigner whose work bridges science, craft, and ecology. Trained at the University of the Arts London, he creates living materials that rethink how humans relate to non-human life. Through his studio Bio Crafted, he collaborates with scientists and Indigenous knowledge holders to develop regenerative, culturally rooted materials. His project Lucid Life embodies this approach, uniting bioluminescent microalgae with ancestral craft to inspire ecological awareness. His work has been recognised internationally, and has culminated in a collaboration with Iris van Herpen.
