Re-Pearls

Re-generated embellishments from seafood waste

Re-Pearls is a collection of bio-based fashion embellishments that aims to replace the plastic majority currently on the market and shows the potential of circular materials for commercial use. They are made using discarded oyster shells from local restaurants, enabling to close the loop in the industries of both textiles and food service. The pearls, buttons and tiles are durable, biodegradable and naturally dyed with algae.
