Time Trace Impermanence

从有机废物到纺织品装饰

Time Trace Impermanence

I am studying BA Textile Design at Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London, where I specialise in stitch. The course encourages material experimentation, critical thinking and concept-led making, allowing me to explore textiles through both traditional craft and contemporary practice. Chelsea’s emphasis on sustainability, research and interdisciplinary learning has shaped my approach to design, supporting my focus on natural materials, surface development and environmentally responsible textile innovation.

Ishitaa Khemani
BA Textile Design student at Chelsea College of Arts, UAL. Nature is my primary muse and sustainability sits at the core of my practice. I work exclusively with natural materials, dyes and low-impact techniques, exploring how textiles can exist in harmony with ecological cycles. Aware that textile waste is one of the largest contributors to environmental pollution, my work focuses on reducing material harm through biodegradable design and mindful making. Through my practice, I aim to reimagine textiles as living materials; responsive, responsible and rooted in respect for the natural world.
