Zuo Guogang graduated from the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts (now the Academy of Arts & Design at Tsinghua University) with a degree in Textile Art Design. He believes that for China's manufacturing sector to shed its “contract manufacturing” label, it must leap from “aesthetic innovation” to “breakthroughs in core technologies.” Upon graduating from art school, industrial design was still an emerging field in China. Driven by his vision to “take Chinese design to the world,” he consistently focused on key areas like green energy, environmental protection, and artificial intelligence. He studied market demands and dedicated himself to research. He later founded industrial design companies in Beijing and Shenzhen, leading the development of multiple consumer electronics products that became bestsellers in Europe and the United States.
