Biomöbel, die mit dem Ökosystem wachsen
Algee ist ein biobasiertes, weiches Sitzmöbelsystem, das durch seine Formen, Texturen und Materialien von Algen inspiriert ist. Durch die Multifunktionalität und Modularität seiner Komponenten passt es sich an gemeinsam genutzte Räume an und kann sich ausdehnen und wachsen, so wie es Algen in der Natur tun. Für die Herstellung wird PHB verwendet, ein zu 100 % biologisch abbaubarer Biokunststoff, der von Cyanobakterien produziert und durch 3D-Druck und Algorithmen der künstlichen Intelligenz umgewandelt wird. Bei der Entwicklung von Algee lag der Schwerpunkt auf der Materialität und den Auswirkungen im Laufe der Zeit. Das Produkt soll als Präzedenzfall für eine Veränderung des Produktionsmodells der Industrie dienen.
