Aksø is based on furniture designer Cecilie Aksø Nordmann. Designing furniture and interior products with a playful mind is one of the ingredients to Aksø´s DNA, which can be seen in both colour, shapes, materials and function. Function and aesthetics is equally measured - one does not rule out the other.
The intention is to create joyous and beautiful designs combined with longlasting and functional products. The source of inspiration is often drawn from the daily life, taking a good look at what is missing or what could be upgraded in existing products.

Cecilie Aksø Nordmann
I am Cecilie Aksø Nordmann, a furniture designer educated at VIA University College in Herning, Denmark. I am born and raised in Skagen, a small coastal town in the northern part of Jutland. Today I live in the city of Aarhus, working on my own projects. My design philosophy is to create joyous pieces that attracts the eye, are both functional and aesthetic and has a righteousness of existence, which I think can come in many ways. I often draw inspiration from everyday life—by noticing products that are missing or spotting things that could be improved, whether in my own home or on the market.
