Aurora Film

The first vegan 35 mm film
Vote now

Aurora Film is the first vegan 35 mm film, made for analog photographers, including vegans who avoided traditional film. It replaces animal gelatin with lab-grown collagen. The project solves the need for sustainable analog photography by using a circular system where only the film itself is new after the first purchase, reducing material waste. Its packaging is plastic-free, recycled, and recyclable. It also reduces environmental impact by removing the link to the polluting meat industry for gelatin.

I studied a bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Communication and later a master’s degree in Graphic Design and Digital Video Editing. I have been very aware about the importance of caring for our environment since I was a kid, so I always try to find more sustainable ways of living. I believe that design can be a powerful tool to create better products that truly respect our planet.
