Gait Recycle

Sustainable 3d printed running shoes
Vote now

Gait Recycle is a high-performance running shoe fully 3D-printed from a single recyclable TPU material. The shoes use parametric design and coding to allow seamless customization for any wearer's size or biomechanical needs. Production happens locally on standard desktop 3D printers without molds, reducing transportation and waste. The monomaterial design allows the shoes to be fully shredded and reprocessed into new filament at the end of life.

‪Keren Gispan‬‏
Keren Gispan is an industrial designer (B.Des., Shenkar) and researcher at the Codedmatter Lab at the Technion Faculty of Architecture. Her work explores 3D-printed running shoe midsoles from both design and biomechanical perspectives. By coding for 3D printers, she pushes the limits of additive manufacturing, developing efficient workflows while investigating and challenging the mechanical and technological boundaries of printed structures. She also lectures on 3D design at Shenkar College.
