Symbios

A buoy system for sustainable seaweed farming.
Vote now

Symbios is an automated buoy system for nearshore seaweed farmers in Northern Europe. It enables year-round seaweed cultivation and partial harvesting by using depth regulation to move seaweed into cooler waters during warmer months. This creates stable, continuous marine habitats and reduces the need for constant boat visits due to remote monitoring. The buoys are modular and designed for easy repair, promoting durability.
