WALE03
Stylish. Durable. Appreciative.
A favourite jacket deserves more than just a hook. That's exactly what this design is all about. WALE03 is a coat rack inspired by everyday rituals: arriving, taking off your coat, moving on. As a sculptural, magnetic element, it displays jackets visibly, in a way that preserves their shape and protects the material. The shape is based on the contours of the body and the movement of a whale's fin. A base plate is mounted once, after which WALE03 can be positioned flexibly. Turned around, it becomes an organiser.

Ich bin ausgebildeter Tischler und habe Handwerksdesign an der Akademie für Handwerksdesign Gut Rosenberg (HWK Aachen) studiert. Aktuell absolviere ich meinen Master in Contextual Design in Eindhoven. Design verstehe ich als Haltung: die bewusste Gestaltung von Beziehungen zwischen Mensch, Objekt und Alltag. Mich interessiert, wie Form, Material und Nutzung Wertschätzung fördern und zur Langlebigkeit von Dingen beitragen können. Meine Arbeiten wurden u. a. auf der Ambiente Frankfurt, der Berlin Design Week, den Passagen Köln sowie der Vienna Design Week gezeigt, darunter auch der Entwurf WALE.
