CrowdFarming Adoption System

Disintermediated and organic food supply chain

CrowdFarming is an organic agricultural marketplace with a disruptive approach where consumers can adopt a tree, animal, or patch of land, and in exchange receive its harvest or production directly at home without intermediaries. Born in 2017 in Madrid, Spain, CrowdFarming works to disintermediate the food supply chain by offering a fair price to producers, premium quality food to consumers, while creating a positive social and environmental impact in the process. We currently have more than 210 producers in 13 countries and more than 465,000 customers across Europe.

Gonzalo Úrculo Álvarez-Ossorio
Gonzalo Úrculo and his brother Gabriel inherited their grandfather's orange grove in 2010 and became farmers. It was then that they developed an adoption system to replant their farm under the company Naranjas del Carmen. To do so, they created a website where they sold products that were grown on demand, and where customers could adopt the orange trees and follow their growth in a completely transparent way. In 2017, seeing that this model was scalable and could benefit other farmers, they decided to launch CrowdFarming as an independent company.
