Aus Altglas wiedergeborene Kacheln
Automorphosis ist ein zu 100 % recyceltes architektonisches Fliesen-/Plattensystem, das aus beschichtetem Altglas von Autos hergestellt wird und somit einen großen Abfallstrom umleitet. Architekten, Innenarchitekten und umweltbewussten Nutzern bietet es ein hochwertiges, vollständig recycelbares Material für Oberflächen und Raumteiler. Die Produktion ist zusatzstofffrei und nutzt ein Niedrigenergie-Schmelzverfahren (unter 1000 °C), wodurch die Umweltbelastung deutlich reduziert wird. Das Material wurde Festigkeitsprüfungen unterzogen und zertifiziert.

I am a master’s student in Ceramic and Glass Design at the National Institute of Design. My design philosophy is rooted in sustainability and environmental consciousness. With a background in architecture, I’ve come to believe that in today’s world, the materials we choose are just as important as the function they serve. Once function and purpose are fulfilled, what remains is the material its impact, its afterlife. Design thinking, therefore, should not end at the product but extend to what happens afterward.
