A decade of sustainability promotion - Award ceremony of the Green Product Award and Green Concept Award 2023 at the Felleshus of the Nordic Embassies

Berlin, 24 March 2023 I For the tenth time, the Green Future Club 2023 presented two sustainability awards: the Green Concept Award and the Green Product Award. Launched in 2013, the awards distinguishes products, concepts and services that excel in the disciplines of sustainability, innovation and design. The Green Product Award is aimed at start-ups and established companies, while the Green Concept Award, in cooperation with the IKEA Stiftung, honours students and graduates for visionary concepts that are not yet on the market. The award ceremony, took place in the evening at the Felleshus of the Nordic Embassies.

Awards for a network full of good ideas

Participants from 40 countries submitted a record 1300 entries to the Awards, demonstrating through their participation and interest in the Awards the importance of ideas, products, concepts and materials in shaping a more sustainable future.

The Awards do not only stand for exceptional achievements, but are intended to achieve much more. Nils Bader, initiator of the Awards, says: "With the Awards we present existing, future and, of course, sustainable alternatives and network the actors. With the exhibition and the talks, we want to surprise and show what is already possible. No one should leave as he or she came - but plan, design and ultimately consume with a different view in the future."

Both prizes were awarded in thirteen categories: Architecture & Tiny Houses, Building Components, Beauty & Personal Care, Consumer Goods, Fashion, Freestyle, Interior & Lifestyle, Kids, Kitchen, Mobility, New Materials, Packaging and Workspace.

Exhibition of the award winners and nominees

From 23-28 March, an exhibition at the Felleshus of the Nordic Embassies in Berlin showcased a selection of the Green Concept Award winners and nominees, as well as the Green Product Award 2023.

The exhibition was open to the public weekdays from 11-19 and weekend 11-16. From 25-28 March, visitors could take part in a free guided tour by the organizers at 2pm each day.
