In the New Materials category, the Green Product Award honours innovative materials – from mushrooms, fruits and algae to pine needles, seaweed and ash. In view of dwindling raw materials and rising emissions, this category stands for solutions with a future. The aim is to build up a cross-industry materials database that inspires participants in other categories.
All participants benefit from an independent initial assessment of their products in line with the regulations of the Green New Deal (focus on EPR & Green Claims Directive).
