In the packaging category, the Green Product Award honours sustainable solutions that reduce environmental impact and set new standards in design. In the EU, 910 million tons of packaging waste are generated every year, ranging from food and medical products to transport packaging. It is clear that sustainable packaging plays a critical role in reducing this impact. Packaging design should have a positive impact on the environment while providing consumers with high-quality products. that feature: sustainable material innovations, minimized material use, environmentally friendly color or coating methods, take-back programs, recyclability, compostability, and fully traceable and transparent supply chains.
An international jury of experts in design, media, material science, and business evaluates all submissions based on the jury criteria.
Timetable
To participate in the public vote (over 50,000 votes/year), the submission deadline is 17 September 2026. The final deadline is 17 January 2027.
