"A Softer Wood" gives wood as a renewable resource a voice in textile design and shows what functional and aesthetic potential the combination of wood and textile can have. Between stability and flexibility, both materials enter into a new kind of symbiosis, which is created by combining industrial and textile craft techniques and, among other things, produces a new way of weaving with wood. Industrial remnants of local woods were turned into new interior textiles with regional partners, which are used as curtains, room dividers or acoustically controlling panels.
