Arbofix is a dual-function system that acts as a temporary tourist shelter and a scaffold for hikers and forest regions. It guides the natural fusion of young trees (inosculation) to grow a long-term, living wooden structure that can last for centuries, solving the need for permanent, fixed-form shelters. It is a low-impact, low-energy construction method, using ground screws instead of concrete, actively planting native trees for carbon sequestration, and promoting a regenerative, circular model where the biological structure persists after the temporary shelter is removed.
