Eigenwillicht is a modular lamp that uses industrial wood waste (spiral-grain veneer) that is typically discarded. The lamp's unique shape results from the material's natural tension, making each piece one-of-a-kind. Users dim the light manually by rotating the wooden plates, avoiding complex electronics. The design promotes sustainability by upcycling waste, using low-energy production, biobased adhesives, and offering easy repairability and material separation for recycling.
