Green Pre-Selection 2021

Nuclée was imagined and produced in Taiwan, during a six-month residency at the National Taiwan Craft Research Institute (N.T.C.R.I.), by two French designers : Dorian Etienne and Cordélia Faure. Bamboo circles highlight a new material : banana flesh. Until then, this residue from banana plantations was considered as waste and left aside. So, we were interested in this material and we found it a fascinating graphics in the light. Through empirical research, we have succeeded in stabilizing this plant tissue by a particular refining technique and then we have designed Nuclée mood lights.
