They are made from a custom, biodegradable material in a hand-casting process that uses minimal energy and locally sourced ingredients. The vessels are designed for decorative and practical use and are fully compostable at the end of their life cycle. The bioplastic recipe is currently patent-pending.

​Caroline Zimbalist is an artist and designer renowned for her innovative use of bioplastics in creating one-of-a-kind vessels, sculptures, and fashion pieces. With a BFA from Parsons School of Design and further studies at Central Saint Martins in London, she has developed a unique approach to material experimentation. Her work blends art, design, and sustainability, utilizing plant-based materials like agar, glycerin, and starch to craft biodegradable creations .Her creations have been featured in notable exhibitions, including the Whitney Museum of American Art and New York Fashion Week.
