Interactive Design refers mainly to Interactive Architectural Design and focuses on Material Innovation as well as Experimental Building. Interactive design was founded in 2016 by DPLG Architectural Designer and Researcher Cristina Maier in Belgium.

Cristina R. Maier has been developing a research project on “Interactive Design. Designing Sensorial Dialogical Spaces.”, initiated at Faculty of Architecture and Fine Art, NTNU, Trondheim, Norway and KU Leuven Faculty of Architecture, Campus Sint-Lucas Brussels/Ghent, Belgium. The research project is about exploring new levels of interactivity that imply new technologies and testing several solutions available today. Immersive interactive designs have the potential to challenge the notions and perception of architectural space.
