I looked at the coconut roots, leaves, the nut, but also at the animals that settle in and around the coconut. The coconut crab is a crustacean, by researching the crustacean I found out that the armor contains the building material chitin and that it can act as glue. Chitin is the main ingredient of my composite. The basic ingredients are: Chitin, Acetic Acid, Glycerine. I have combined these building materials with many other products, including coconut products. One of the current challenges I encounter is making the material water-repellent.
