Dholm Rocking chair

A furniture design using natural materials

DHOLM biomaterial is a by-product of palm tree fibers that has few uses and is usually burned or dumped on the ground. Developing such biomaterials could be extremely beneficial in the future, as there is a demand for materials that can potentially replace commercially available materials. Biodegradation of DHOLM is very fast considered to other biomaterials when dumped on the soil. As Dhoop a natural gum/resin is used, the material has a nice smell, and when touched it gives a feel of raw texture. Manufacturing such biomaterials can provide employment to the local people.
