Raw material reserves are dwindling while populations and emissions are increasing, so the category for new, sustainable materials is of particular importance. The goal is to build a cross-industry database of materials and prototypes to inspire participants in the other categories. Special interest is given to innovative new materials of unusual sources such as mushrooms, fruits, algae, pine needles, seaweed or ash.
All participants benefit from an independent initial assessment of their products in line with the regulations of the Green New Deal (focus on EPR & Green Claims Directive).
