Fumo

A coffee table made for you with smoke and AI

Smoke is released from industries, cars, burning waste, and even smoking cigarettes. It's associated with being ugly and damaging. But still, do we stop our practices? Fumo takes a different approach in the fight for the cause. It's created by trapping smoke from the atmosphere; within a partially cured (80%) epoxy tabletop. The carbon and dust particles give strength and a fantastic porous look to the table that resembles the internal structure of the lungs. The base also mimics natural lungs & is made via DMLS. Biomimicry & Generative design minimize material consumption to a great extent.
