rotairy

Sustainable use of airstream

The rotairy project is a wind turbine for roads and highways. The aim was to use the daily produced airstream to generate sustainable energy. Basically, there are two possible designs for this concept, the energy-generating wall and the relocatable modular system. The stele basically have the same mirror-symmetrical shape. By shifting the shape, the elements interlock nicely in a rotating movement. So it is theoretically possible to make a rotating wall of any length from two stele-kits. The curved rotor blades have one side facing the wind and the other facing away.
