RESIDUUM
Parametric knitwear pattern construction
RESIDUUM is a prototype for parametric pattern construction for the knitwear sector. With the help of RESIDUUM, the knitwear designer can develop a pattern by operating controls. Remaining material as well as the consumption of different knitting techniques are taken into account by the system and knittable designs are output exclusively with the available remaining material. The resulting cuts are based on those that have already been tested and can be realized quickly. RESIDUUM thus enables the processing of smaller remnants within industrial production.
